Settings
You can configure the following basic settings for the OPC router in Management by selecting a runtime, e.g., the local runtime. "Options" can be opened after selection.
Runtime
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Connection timeout | Time (in s) that the connection establishment may take before a connection error is returned. |
| System metrics update interval (s) | Interval at which system data (CPU/RAM) is sent to the License Portal. |
Connection status configuration
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Retention period for events | Time period during which the data is retained. You can choose between a retention period of at least one day and a maximum of one month. |
| Retention time for transferred values | Time period during which the data is retained in the event of malfunctions. |
| Record transferred values | Activate if transferred values are to be recorded. |
| Maximum log size for events (GB) | Specify the maximum log size for events in GB. |
| Maximum number of characters in the status display | Limit the number of characters displayed for transferred values in the status view. This only applies to arrays and strings. |
Project backups
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Project backup | Select when an automatic project backup should be performed. |
| Maximum number of project backups retained | Number of project backups that are retained. If this number is exceeded in the target directory, the oldest project backup is automatically deleted. |
| Backup path | Target directory where the project backup is stored. |
| Include authentication data in project backup | This option allows you to include or exclude all passwords from connections (plug-ins) in a project. |
Log output
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Log directory | Directory for storing log files (default: <opc router-programmverzeichnis="">\LogDir). |
| Log all transfers | Writes all data transfers to the log file. Activation takes precedence over log deactivation for individual connections. |
| Error | Records errors. Recommended for normal operation. |
| Warning | Records warnings. Recommended for normal operation. |
| Trace | Extensive recording of program processes. For troubleshooting. Should be deactivated during normal operation. |
You can record ("log") program processes to varying degrees. In normal operation, we recommend logging warnings and errors. The log file remains clear, but information is available in the event of an error. With "Trace," you can log very detailed information. Switch on "Trace" to find the causes of errors. The easiest way to open the log file is to right-click on the status display and select "Open log file."
Each time an OPC Router process is started, it outputs a message with its current version.
Language of the web interface
You can switch the menu and dialog language of the management interface using the flag icon at the top left of the web interface. You can choose between German and English.
Reset database to factory settings
In expert mode: After activating expert mode in the Options dialog, the "Database settings" option appears in the Expert mode area. Clicking this button opens another menu where you can specify which databases should be emptied.
