Important Update Notice: Back Up Your Project and System
Before updating OPC Router, it is crucial to ensure the security of your project data and system configurations. We strongly recommend that you follow these steps:
- Project Backup: Back up all your OPC Router projects. Export the configurations and store them in a secure location. This step ensures that you can revert to the original settings and configurations in case of complications during the update process.
- System backup: In addition to backing up your projects, it is advisable to back up the entire system. Use standardized IT mechanisms such as VM snapshots or other system backup solutions available in your infrastructure. A complete system backup allows you to perform a full recovery to the state prior to the update in an emergency, ensuring business continuity and data integrity.
By taking these precautions, you minimize the risk of data loss and system failures that may occur during or after the update process. Tip: How to create a backup of your OPC Router configuration
Use the backup function of the OPC Router to create a backup copy of your configuration database. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Open the menu via "File" and select "Create backup".
- The system automatically saves a backup file in the "Backup" folder located in the OPC Router installation directory.
- The backup file name includes the date and time for easy identification and organization. For example:
