Data Formats (ETL)

ETL tools do not establish a connection to a target system; instead, they transform the data between the source and the target within the flow: they read, generate, and validate formats.

  • JSON – Access to JSON data to generate packets for other systems and extract values from their responses; this includes JSON Schema for validation and processing based on centrally managed schema definitions.
  • XML/XPath – Access to XML data via XPath queries; included in the base version of the OPC Router.
  • CSV – Reading and writing CSV strings using delimiter- or fixed-width formatting; the actual reading and writing of the files themselves is handled separately.

Custom transfer objects and triggers as C# scripts based on the low-code principle are described in Custom Code (.NET C# Script).
