Redundancy
You can find the redundancy settings in the settings. This allows you to protect the OPC Router against failures.
If the secondary OPC Router loses the connection to the primary OPC Router, the connections are activated and begin to transfer data. This is shown in green in the status display. If the client can reestablish the connection to the primary OPC Router, the connections switch back to standby. This is shown in blue in the status display.
In OPC Router, you can choose between two types of redundancy.
Secure redundancy
- Secure redundancy with keys that are exchanged
- Should always be used when possible
Legacy redundancy
- Included for backward compatibility
- No longer supported as of version 5.4
